identity and sentimentalist and intellectual presence, existed and
infatuated at one time.
There are certain poets as selected from different regions praising
and elegizing the imams as immaculate and as a suppressed martyr that is
why the paper comes with various colours as they are different quills; the

He who is omnipresent and omniscient”.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumeia H. Aleian

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 81-123

Poetry is a means of expression of the human passions in a way
better described as honest and pure and of manifesting the zeitgeist and
the time figures. In time the poets who cleave themselves in embracing
the Ahlalbayt pay much heed to them; their agony, rigors and what they
endure in the line of guiding people. Such a case is not delimited to the
Arabic poetry it is pertinent to the Persian poetry as well that is why the
current study will tackle the portrait of the imam in both the Arabic and
the Persian poetry and be bifurcated into certain isles:
1. Introduction.
2. Contrastive literature.
3. Literature bound to Ahlalbayt.
4. The portrait of the Imam in the Persian and Arabic poetry.
What the resrech study holds could be considered as a parameter to
trace the mutual lines between the Persian and Arabic poetry as the poets
pay much heed to the main traits of the imam Al-Hassan; benevolence,
martyrdom, patience, science and the intercession people seek from him.
However, these poets employ certain devices such as figures of speech,
allusion to the Glorious Quran, alliteration and an elegant language to
convey the depth of the human love to such an abode.

Sheikh. Dr; Abdallah A. Al-Yousef

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 127-149

For Imam Abi Mohammed Al-Hassan Ibn Ali Ben Abitalib (Peace be
upon him) comes as the second of Ahlalbayt imams Allah obliterate the
sin and abomination from them thoroughly, the master of the paradise
people, one of the salvation people one who emulates them is to be
saved; one who deviates from them is to be degraded and vanished and
takes discipline and flourishment in the cradle of his grandfather, the
messenger of Allah and his father imam Ali Bin Abitalib (Peace be upon
them); as such he gleans both the honour of prophetship and Imamate and
the honour of pedigree and repute. The chosen imam is highly celebrated
for sapience, tolerance, quixoticism and generosity, that is why he is called
the most generous of Ahlalbayt for his so much beneficence, generosity,
philanthropy and helping the poor and the needy.
The chaste imam confronts in his life all the rigorous of pains and
ordeals and tolerates all kinds of self-torture and hardship. However the
current study orients the attention to his niche and respect the prophet
Mohammed holds to, manifests what rumours and calumnies he suffers
from just to assassinate his brilliant personality and also sheds light upon
the impact of these rumours, motives and preventive procedures to
stymie them to shield the society from their repercussions that might do
harm to the societal fabrics.

upon them) on the scale of the perception diction such concepts depend
on to provoke the perception of the interlocutor into stimulating the
memory prone to desuetude, so the Husseinist text pertains to the quality

the memory through perception: it is the greatest endeavour in such a

Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad J. AL-Aaridhi

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 199-221

The present paper reconnoiters the semantic fields in the waterpraying
supplication of imam Al-Hasan and exerts itself to manifest certain
utterances employing water in panoramic shades of meaning: the water
that falling from the sky could be rain in drops to bid high prices slump;
bless to be spread . However there is a sense of erudition in the Al-Hasan
discourse manipulating the phenomenon; vales, mounts and brooks that
usher water abundance in such a supplication of the imam .
The meant diversity in diction grants the system of water-praying
supplication a pathway to erudition and edification and reflects the
faith the imam ensconces in his heart. Ultimately the study takes hold
of the semantic discourse analysis to cull the targets propagating an
evident intellectual structure for the sake of the human development, the
inspiration of man and his intellectual reality and doctrinal essence.

Mohammed Ali Haj Salmeen in Riposte to the Orientalists Rumours in Imam Hasan The Chief of The Youth of Paradise As a Nonpareil

Asst. Prof. Dr. Asaad H. Abushnna

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 225-254

For the Imam Hasan The Chief of The Youth of Paradise tends to be
considered as a valiant endeavour to do justice to Imam Al-Hasan (Peace
be upon him) and as a study on an essential phase from the Islamic history;
it is the first time to have such a source in India, to be a curt riposte to
the rumours the orientalists fabricate to assault the imam and accuse
him of many things, in time the study has recourse to various sources:
historical Islamic sources, Shiite and Sunite , and editions of the European
orientalists to gain objectivity and the mission of the editor himself; a
promulgation to Islamic union.
As s salient and prominent book Imam Hasan The Chief of The Youth
of Paradise grows as there is rarity in the historical Islamic sources that
is why the editor suffers much from such a hindrance and also the other
hindrances; language and the discrepancy between events and dates ; the
writer commits certain mistakes in surveying these events, misnaming the
figures and missing specific events concerning the attempts of Ma`awia
to assassinate Imam Al-Hasan. Lastly the meant source rises to being
as a preponderant part of the Indian culture celebrated with diversity of
religion, ethnics and denomination; without being so meritorious and
immaculate, does not the chronicle of Ahlalbayt survive in so huge a
country, India, with great political and cultural history.

Anomie of the Opponents and Skeptics of the Imam Al-Hasan Pre / Post Reconciliation (Analytic Study)

Lacturer. Dr. Haleem S. AL-Anqooshi

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 257-284

The present study tackles the concept of anomie fraught with all
the sorts of deviation from principles, standards and patterns and the
lack of confidence, skepticism, sometimes it reaches the highest state of
confusion and unfaith and could be a tocsin to the deterioration of the
social decorum dominating the behavior.
The more the state of anomie prevails in any society the more the
social chaos rises to being. Besides such a theory could be a means to
analyse the human conducts in specificity to dissect the mere motives
of the opponents and skeptics of the imam Al-Hasan into their real facts,
so the importance of such a locus calls itself to have the current paper
elucidate the psychological opinions and the acts of injustice the imam
Al-Hasan suffers from.

A critical Discourse Analysis of Two Poems on Imam Hasan

Asst. Lect. Wafaa Sahib Mehdi

AL-AMEED JOURNAL, Volume 5, Issue 5, Pages 39-68

Language users’ choices of linguistic forms and expressions
are usually guided by their thoughts, feelings, attitudes and their
stance or points of view in the real world. One main serious reflection
is the issue of religious ideology.Throughout history, different
contradictory religious beliefs, concepts and opinions emerged due
to various political disputes and authorial struggles or controversies
by some parties and personae. This hints on the discourse produced
in relation with this regard.A poet who opts to write a piece of discourse
on a certain character is certainly affected by the personality
and attributes of this character or he has a view to share.
One way of approaching such kind of discourse is critical discourse
analysis (CDA). Language, according to CDA, is never neutral
and it always has some implications of the world that surrounds
us. Critical studies is concerned with scrutinizing power
relations, ideological manifestations and hegemony in social practices.
The current paper is a CDA of a poem commemorating Imam
Hasan. It sheds light on the religious ideologies of Shia’s doctrineapparent
in such kinds of poems by conceptualizing the way Shiasknow,
view and feel their Imam. The poem is of a well- known
religious Shia poet and a man of science. The poet and his piece of
writing are selected randomly to get a critical analysis. This study
raises the following questions: What are the religious ideologies reflected
in poetry written on Imam Hasan? What are the figurative
uses of language utilized to enhance presenting these ideologies?
To answer these questions, the study develops an analytical framework
for the critical analysis of the data under scrutiny. It is hypothesized
that such kinds of poetry bear ideological connotations reflecting
the Shia’s beliefs and concepts. This is usually accompanied
by figurative uses of language, let alone the factthat the language
of poetry is usually loaded with figurative rhetorical devices. The
analysis verifies the two set hypotheses. This research is hoped to
be of value to those interested in critical studies, religious ideologies
studiesand figurativity in poetry.
