This study is one of the studies that included the analytical and
field dimension through the exploratory study، which was distributed
to a sample of young people in different areas of their present
approach to search for the formation of the daash phenomenon ،
its origins ، the nature of thinking and practices and their stance on
the world around them. The researcher is keen to obtain specialized
sources of books and periodicals. The phenomenon of daashis
exclusively، so we relied on reliable sources from the internet
sites. The study included two chapters : the first chapter tackles the
meaning and history of terrorism and terrorism and extremism، and
the second chapter does a sociological vision of a preacher covering
behaviour، leadership، methods of dealing and reading for an endto-

The research aims at studying and establishing the impact of
V- model on literature - Arabic Literature - acquisition for fourth
secondary school pupils. In order to achieve the aim of the study,
the researcher uses the null hypothesis" assuming that there is no
significant statistical difference, that is to say, the significance level
of 0.05 between the subsequent educational acquisition of the experimental/
study group and the control group that learn the same
topics by using the traditional method.
The researcher selects students from a secondary school in
Baghdad for the academic year 2011- 2012. Fourth year pupils are
chosen as a study sample, and a number of topics and texts of literature
from one semester are selected, and the researcher takes appropriate
procedures and methodology to complete the research. A
total sample of (64) students are chosen randomly, divided into two
groups. The experimental/study group of 32 students are taught according
to the V- model, while the control group of 32 students as
well, are taught under the traditional way.
The researcher establishes the internal and external validity of
the evaluation by identifying the confounding factors of the study
design, identifying factors that can affect the variables and he prepares
a teaching plan consisting of (10) subjects/topics and texts
from fourth year secondary school , Arabic literature text, and there
is a test having (40) items/questions. The test consists of objective
questions including, multiple-choice questions and complete the
blanks type of questions. The researcher uses appropriate statistical
methods to complete the analysis of the results of the study and
The test reveals superiority of the experimental/study group
students who are taught under V- model over the students in the
control group who are taught under the traditional way. In the light
of the result of this research paper, the researcher concludes the
1. it is possible to apply different modern teaching models
that suit all the academic levels with no need to build new
applied models, as these teaching models prepared on theoretical
bases with numerous successful applications.
2. The (V) models use can overcome the difficulties faced by
the teacher and reduce the efforts and time consuming.
In the light of the outcome of the search and the above conclusion,
the researcher recommends the following:
1. providing appropriate training and development courses
for teachers in the official teaching institutions (Ministry of
Education) to equip them with the modern teaching models
such as V-model and to help to apply these models in the
2. setting up training courses for teachers in Ministry of Education
to establish the new trends in the educational process.

The issue of the discourse looms larger in the contemporary concerns as it ramifies into certain intellectual and textual controversies and grows as cultural enigma, in time we are in rapid transformations due to the knowledge explosion that reshapes many a concept and erects new ones. Thereupon the discourse heaves into horizon to be a salient phenomenon, that it is why we are in the welter of certain tremendous challenges, labyrinth description and multitudinous assertions; religious discourse, political discourse, intellectual discourse, critical discourse, poetic discourse, fictional discourse, media discourse and so forth .However, it is to have other legion concepts in a meant discourse itself; for instance, in the orbit of the critical discourse each literary movement drags such a concept into the interest of certain conceptual systems to erect a concept expressing the meant viewpoint. As a matter of fact, the concept of discourse designates certain conceptual controversies urging us to delimit and adjust it, so for an authenticated research study should depend upon an accurate and established base to employ the discourse as said by Voltaire, in his reputed word: “before starting to talk with me, delimit your discourse“. It is quite convenient to fathom the discourse in the Arab and Western orbits to tackle it in a transparent way in concordance with our studies on the modern or old critical discourse, Arab or nonArab. In the current paper we endeavor to trace the concept of the discourse in line with dictionaries to found a convenient perception and reconnoiter the concept of the discourse either in the Glorious Quran and its Explication or in the dictionaries, Arab dictionaries, the Western Discourse books and the linguistic, critical and philosophical propensities; that is why we do survey all the references to gain accuracy, in particular, those are pertinent to the contemporary critical system, such as the linguistic concept, cultural concept ,philosophical concept and the discourse concept in light of the studies that focus upon the issue of authority and tackle the concept of the discourse in the orbit of both structuralism and pragmatic concepts ,which is to have the Discourse and the Critical Discourse into the limelight.

Verism as a term designates the fact that representing “truth” in an artwork, as it is and at any price. It is of high importance to drag the attention of the readers vehemently to the meant target2. More specifically, it highlights the truth beyond the lines in an artwork; it is by some means or other a part of realism that stipulates both here and now, everyday incidents and events, political, domestic and social, and the creator’s environment. Realism,in a sense, depicts life as it is, it is a portrayal of reality with fidelity, it does not exert itself in rendering life into something serene or chaotic; there is no other ways but to bring life into effect in a realistic piece of writing3; it vows drastic detours to dramatism with the emergence of Eugene O’Neill’s artworks in 19204.Combine that with the fact that chronicle, to the core, stresses the past events and recalls them in a dramatic means and in order of time, usually it is known as a history play; a chronicle one that manipulates recorded historical events as was tackled in The Crucible. The chronicle play originates in Seneca artworks and then glimpses in 18th and 19th century,as Darley, Tennyson, Browning and Swinburne turn the prow of their attention to history; then Thomas Hardy tackles history in The Dynasts.Ultimately, the second world war leaves a number of chronicle plays that dissect the human conflicts in term of history and these are respectively; Arthur Miller’s The crucible, Robert Bolt’s A Man for all Seasons and the State of Revolution5 and Ralf Hochhuth`s The Representative and soldier6.

From the heart of our heritage many details about historical battles emanate in precision and fidelity that cast us into pride, but it is not void of fraudulence, intrigue and exaggeration in the reign of a ruler who takes freedom in reshaping and weaving history as his brush stroke desires. To the extent his tales go axiomatic. We quail at rethinking of them or suspecting them, since they reach consensus.
The present paper is to be bifurcated into two parts: the first tackles Al-Taff battle as found in the sources of genealogy and conquests; the second manipulates the battle as found in the translated sources, classes and Islamic general history.
